Established since 1997, the YPA offers undergraduates, graduates and young professionals the perfect opportunity to spend 3 to 18 months in America, gaining professional training and experiencing a new environment and culture. On the average, we place about 200 interns and trainees in America each year.

By providing structured, on-the-job training, trainees will be given many opportunities to contribute his or her expertise in the American workplace. Au Pair is a “big sister” to host children, and is treated as an important member of the host family. The phrase “Au Pair” comes from French, meaning 'at par', or 'equal to', and therefore an Au Pair comes to live as part of the family, being treated as a family member. Over 60,000 au pairs, aged between 18 and 26 years old, from over 40 countries have participated on the Au Pair program - come and join the largest and most established Au Pair Program in the world! Au Pairs have the chance to truly experience the country's culture from a unique vantage point: from within the host family.

An au pair will typically be a young woman and sometimes a young man from a foreign country who chooses to help look after the children of a host family and provide light housekeeping. The au pair is given room and board and is typically paid a weekly "pocket-money" salary. Au pairs generally stay with their host family for one year.
