An au pair will typically be a young woman and sometimes a young man from a foreign country who chooses to help look after the children of a host family and provide light housekeeping. The au pair is given room and board and is typically paid a weekly "pocket-money" salary. Au pairs generally stay with their host family for one year.
Being an Au-Pair is ideal for an "in between" working holiday gap year, in which you can earn a regular income, meet other international Au-Pairs and get to know the country from your family base.
Aceglobal offers Au Pair Programs in USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Over 60,000 au pairs from over 55 countries have participated on the Au Pair Program to the US. Under this program, au pairs are welcomed into the homes of American Host Families as a family member for a 12 month cultural exchange under the J-1 visa. This is the only way to go to the USA as an au pair legally. Au pairs participate in cultural and educational activities designed to teach them about American life, and they assist with child care.
Whether you’re looking for a year out or want to work legally abroad, our program give you plenty of free time to explore, study, travel and make new friends - plus you have support throughout your stay. The US is a great and diverse country with so much to see and experience!
