An internship with a US company is a superb career start and an efficient way to enhance the CV. The Young Professional Attachment program is for university students, recent graduates and young professionals who have already chosen their career path and now require additional training in their field for up to 18 months. You can be placed throughout the United States in training programs in several occupational categories.
Internship training can begin any time during the year and is offered for a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 18 months. As a participant of this program you will get J-1 exchange visitor visa.
Please note: The J-1 exchange visitor visa does not allow international trainees to change the designated host employer or gain employment outside of the original program or extend their training past 18 months.
The internship is a focused training program. The host business will help you to gain a thorough insight in your career field. There may be different methods in which that business conducts the training; it could be through observation, rotations in different departments, training seminars or research.
For the first two weeks, you should expect an introductory period whereby the host business may need to assess your skills and objectives before assigning specific tasks and/or projects. Also, while the host business makes every effort to keep the participant fully engaged in interesting activities, there may be "down" times in which you may be asked to do basic tasks in your field of focus and/or general jobs in the office such as clerical work.
The program offers three options: Self-Arranged Training (Paid or Unpaid) and International Student Internship Program.
- Have your own individual/institutional U.S. contacts.
- Have in mind the exact U.S. Host company.
- Wish to be placed in U.S. state of your choice.

You have to research on your own paid or unpaid internship placement and housing. Additionally you need to submit proof of two years' education or experience in the field of training. Aceglobal's government-authorized partner will give a phone-orientation within 48 hours of your arrival in the US.
This program runs for 3-18 months. To make it logistically easier for your American Host Company to hire you, Aceglobal and our government-authorized partners will be your legal visa sponsors for the duration of your project overseas. We will arrange for you to enter under the J-1 Exchange Visitors Category. The main purpose of the J-1 Visa (Trainee Category) is to provide individuals with bona fide practical training in the U.S. in their professional field.
Aceglobal and our US partners will locate and place you in a career-related
business and provide support and supervision for the hosting company and you.
The arranged unpaid internship placement is ideal if you:
- Want to have short-term internships (3 to 6 months).
- Do not mind exploring a budget lifestyle.
- Can be financially independent for duration of internship
- Need to complete your industrial attachment and earn academic credit.
In order to be considered for Aceglobal arranged paid training, the applicant is required to be a highly capable candidate who is qualified to train in the following occupational categories: Marketing, Business Management, Hotel/Travel Management, Civil Engineering and Architecture (12 months maximum).
Additionally you are required to have at least two years of career related work experience or a university degree specifically related to his/her professional focus. As this program runs for 6-18 months, Aceglobal requires 26 weeks from the time the original application is received to set up placement.
If you need more than 30 days delay for your program, you will need to re-apply to the program and pay a US$250 reinstatement fee. The original placement will be void; and a new placement process will begin.
